Public Review and Comments on Draft EOR Pilot Program Guidelines

The Vina Groundwater Sustainability Agency (Vina GSA) is pleased to announce the release of the Draft Guidelines for the Extend Orchard Replacement (EOR) Pilot Program. The EOR Pilot Program is designed to support groundwater sustainability by incentivizing voluntary participation from orchard operators to reduce groundwater demand in the Vina Subbasin. The guidelines are currently in draft form and may be subject to change based on feedback from stakeholders and the California Department of Water Resources (DWR).

We are initiating a 30-day public review period and are seeking your feedback on the Draft Guidelines. Your input is important to ensure the guidelines are well-rounded and effective in promoting groundwater sustainability while addressing the needs of the agricultural community.

How to Submit Comments: Please submit any comments, suggestions, or concerns by email to vinaGSA@gmail.com no later than Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Feedback received by this deadline will be reviewed and considered in advance of the Vina GSA Board Meeting on December 11, 2024.

If you have any questions or would like further information about the EOR Pilot Program, please feel free to contact the Agricultural Groundwater Users of Butte County (AGUBC), who serve as the EOR Pilot Program Manager, at info@agubc.org or by phone at 530-487-0139.

We appreciate your participation and look forward to your valuable feedback on this important program.
